U & I Co. Lay-By Terms & Conditions

We understand that meaningful pieces take time, which is why we offer flexible lay-by options to make your purchase even more accessible. Please review our lay-by terms below:

1. Eligibility

  • Lay-by is available on all in-store purchases over $300.

  • A valid photo ID is required to initiate a lay-by agreement.

2. Deposit & Payments

  • A 20% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of lay-by.

  • The balance can be paid in instalments over a maximum term of 8 weeks.

  • Payments must be made at least fortnightly, either in-store or via phone.

3. Lay-By Period

  • The full amount must be paid within 8 weeks from the start date.

  • If you require a longer period, please speak to us — we’ll do our best to accommodate.

4. Cancellation & Refunds

  • If you choose to cancel your lay-by, any payments made (excluding the deposit) will be refunded as a store credit.

  • If your lay-by is not finalised within the agreed timeframe and we are unable to contact you after reasonable attempts, your lay-by may be cancelled and all payments forfeited as per ACCC guidelines.

5. Product Collection

  • Lay-by items will only be released once the full balance has been paid.

  • Custom or made-to-order pieces will only commence production once 50% of the total balance is received.

  • Resizing of in-store pieces will only commence once 50% of the total balance is received

6. Amendments

  • Items cannot be swapped once the lay-by agreement is in place.

  • Lay-by terms may be updated at our discretion; however, your agreement will remain on the terms provided at the time of purchase.
